Motivation Monday - Richard's Insight

This is such a simple truth statement that reminds us that nothing lasts forever - be it positive or negative...change will surely come.
Of course, when we are happy, it can make us sad...or as I prefer to say...more grounded.
But then, if we are sad, we can know that will be happy again some day as time heals and brings about change.
Abraham Lincoln used the quote in one of his speeches, summing it up by saying: "How chastening in the hour of pride! How consoling in the depths of affliction."

So, then it is a great leveller - there are highs and lows in life, yet if we recall these words, then we are more likely to be better prepared for the low that follows a high and more hopeful that a high can follow a low.
