Motivation Monday – Richard’s Insight
I love this quote from WB! It is so visual and can be applied in a couple of different ways, such as investment and compound growth for example, or in the way I am reading it today…planning.
When we plan ahead, we are planting seeds that will grow for our future. Actually, we are planting seeds all the time when we think about it. Some seeds will grow into a string, shady oak tree that we can sit under as the quotation implies. Equally, some seeds could be a bed of nettles that sting us at every turn.
So, not only do we need to plan ahead, we also need to plant the right seeds or have the right plans. This is very much on my mind this week as we are running a workshop on business planning in property and I have been reading about what many of the attendees are looking to achieve. I am so excited as they all seem to have the right seeds in their hands…all they now need to do is plant them and tend to them and then one day they too will be sitting under a shady tree of their own.
Stop for a minute and think about what you want for the future, then write it down as a goal and then make a plan to go and get it. Plant your seeds, water them and just watch them grow into a great leafy tree one day.
